Davesworkout Site Updates:

Server Now Running On Ubuntu Linux.
Date/Time :Wednesday May 26th, 2010 10:47 pm
I have migrated the site over to a new server running Ubuntu Linux, the site is running noticeably faster, and the food/exercise log analysis features have a lot more information in them now, and some prettier graphics.
More Facebook Connect Features Added!
Date/Time :Thursday May 20th, 2010 9:24 pm
I have finally implemented a few more facebook connect features on the site. From your exercise log, you have an option to post a status update on your facebook news feed bragging about your session/calories burned/etc. I also have enabled linking to our facebook fan page so that every time a new recipe is added, it will appear in the news feed.
Article Browser/viewer Updated
Date/Time :Thursday March 25th, 2010 10:22 pm
I have updated the article browser/viewer to make it a little easier and more interesting to use. Hopefully this will inspire me to write some new articles soon, school is getting close to an end....
Menu Planner Open For Testing...
Date/Time :Thursday March 11th, 2010 10:27 pm
I just added the menu planner feature to the site, It helps you to generate a meal plan for the day (including snacks and desert!) to help you achieve your weight loss goals. It's the first option under the "Site Features" toolbar on top of the page,or you can just click HERE.
Recent Site Updates.
Date/Time :Wednesday March 3rd, 2010 8:55 pm
Well, I have been back hard at work on the site lately. I recently added an option to sign up using Facebook Connect, where you can sign up for a user account using one click of a button (check it out just under the logo on the top of the site).

I also updated the look of the blog system a little, added some more statistics, and in general have been fixing lots of things behind the scenes.

Keep an eye out for more facebook features popping up throughout the site - and don't forget to check out the message forums, I'd love to start getting a little activity there....
Recipe To Food Log Added.
Date/Time :Thursday August 27th, 2009 10:54 pm
I added a little icon when browsing the recipes that allows you to add a recipe to your food log. The recipes will also show up in any searches you do in the food log as well. So if you are trying to add a new food to your log, you can do it via the add recipe feature, then add it to your log directly to save the trouble of having to add the individual ingredients every time you log the food.
Menus Fixed.
Date/Time :Tuesday August 25th, 2009 8:35 pm
Well, there was apparently some sort of issue with the drop down menus and internet explorer. Hopefully this has been remedied, if you have any issues let me know HERE
Social News System Updated.
Date/Time :Thursday August 20th, 2009 11:29 pm
Sorry the site has been erratic all day, I did a major overhaul of the social news feature which required rebuilding some databases and some pretty CPU-intensive stuff. The news feature now takes a snapshot of each article it indexes, and I have completely redesigned the layout. There are still a few kinks in the system but I should be working them out over the next few days.
Exercise Logs Open To General Public As Well.
Date/Time :Monday August 10th, 2009 5:27 pm
I have enabled the exercise logs for all users, guest or not. You will need to register to use some of the more advanced features, but as a guest you can still enter your daily exercise and see how many calories you have burned.
Food Log Open To Guest Users Now.
Date/Time :Sunday August 9th, 2009 6:44 pm
Hey guest users, if you don't want to register, you can still use the food log in a limited capacity. You won't be able to use the advanced analysis features, but you can still enter all the foods you ate for the day, and see how you are looking as far as your nutrient intake. As a guest users , your logs will only be saved during your current visit, however if you register, they are stored indefinitely.

Today's Health Tip:
