And if you're wondering just who "Dave" is, I'm a dietetics major at Eastern Michigan University - Im a 34 year old male with a passion for healthy food and exercise. I have been cooking for a living for about 20 years now, where I have done everything from casual to fine dining. I'm also one of the pickiest people you will ever meet, and have been ingrained with a midwestern meat-and-potatoes diet for most of my life, So my goal is to try and help people make an easy transition into eating right and exercise. I Once weighed 300 lbs, but over the course of a year with a steady running habbit, and a complete diet overhaul I managed to lose 100 lbs and get down close to my target weight (I am 6'3" so 200 lbs is pretty close for a guy with my frame).

I also greatly enjoy computers, especially programming and web design - I have been writing software since the late 80s, worked on some BBS software packages and online games (before there was the world wide web) and have decided to turn my passion for coding and healthy living into this site, which represents several years and at least 100,000 lines of code.
